Arm Sleeves & Compression Gloves Buying Guide JOBST arm sleeves, gauntlets, gloves, and mittens provide targeted compression for the hand, wrist, forearm, and upper arm. They are commonly used for lymphedema management, post-mastectomy recovery, and post-surgical swelling. Glove vs. Gauntlet vs. Mitten Glove: Covers fingers and hand; ideal for full hand swelling. Gauntlet: Covers hand and wrist without fingers; allows full finger movement. Mitten: Covers thumb and fingers together; often used for severe hand lymphedema. Arm sleeve: Covers forearm and/or upper arm; pair with a glove or gauntlet for complete coverage. Compression Level 15–20 mmHg is common for mild swelling and maintenance, while 20–30 mmHg is used for more pronounced lymphedema. Higher levels should be chosen with a healthcare provider or lymphedema therapist. How to Measure Measure wrist circumference, palm circumference, and finger length for gloves and gauntlets. For arm sleeves, measure wrist, elbow, upper arm, and arm length. Use the JOBST sizing chart on each product page for the best fit. Browse all JOBST product lines to compare materials and compression levels.
