Who we are

Jobst Compression Stocking (jobstcompressionstocking.com) is operated by Pro Therapy Supplies, an authorized reseller of JOBST® medical compression garments manufactured by Essity/BSN medical. Our website address is: https://www.jobstcompressionstocking.com.

Information we collect

Orders & accounts. When you place an order or create an account, we collect your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number, and order details. Payment card details are processed directly by our payment processor (Stripe / WooCommerce Payments); we do not store full card numbers on this site.

Comments. When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media. If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Customer service. If you contact us by email or contact form, we retain the correspondence to respond to and resolve your request.

Cookies

Strictly necessary cookies. Our store (WooCommerce) sets session cookies to keep your cart contents, enable checkout, and remember account logins. These cookies are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off.

Cookie consent. This site uses a consent management platform (Complianz). Your consent choice is stored in a cookie so the banner does not re-ask on every page. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors use our store. GA4 sets cookies (such as _ga) and collects information such as pages visited, products viewed, cart and checkout activity, approximate location derived from IP (IP addresses are not logged by GA4), browser, and device. This helps us improve product selection, sizing guidance, and site performance. GA4 does not receive your name, email address, phone number, billing or shipping address, payment details, order keys, insurance or Medicare information, health or prescription details, or the contents of any forms you submit. Sensitive information that can appear in page addresses (such as search terms and order confirmation links) is removed or redacted before any data is sent to Google. You can opt out of analytics cookies at any time via the cookie settings link in our cookie banner (“Manage Consent”), and your choice is stored in a cookie so the site remembers it. For more detail, see Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Comment cookies. If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed. If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

You can change or withdraw your cookie consent at any time via the cookie settings link in the site footer (or by clearing cookies in your browser and revisiting the banner).

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

We share data only with the service providers needed to run our store and comply with the law, including:

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email. We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. Order records are retained for the period required by tax and accounting law.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have the right to:

We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Accordingly, we do not maintain a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link, but if this ever changes we will update this policy and post the link on our homepage.

Global Privacy Control (GPC)

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, as required by California law. If you have GPC enabled in your browser, that preference is applied automatically; no further action is needed.

Other US state privacy rights

Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of targeted advertising or the sale of their personal information. Because we do not sell personal information or run targeted advertising, most of these rights require no additional action, but you may still contact us below to exercise any applicable right.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
